There was a bug with enter key handling in xterm. It should be fixed if you are using CSSU. Here is more info:

Have the same issue in "Easy Debian".
In "less" or "man", I cant type "/what_I_search_after.."
Because the input capture the return key also!
(ESCOM... never any execute of command, haveto erase the whole line to get out)
"Vim" works properly though, should function the same way.
Are there any fix for this problem?
