Hi again...

I use a MacBook Pro to connect via USB to the N800 which works fine. But when I eject the mounted volumes of the N800 from the Mac, they are automatically remounted! Thus there is no way to 'safely' remove the device, and I get a warning from Mac OS X to that effect. Any idea? Thanks!

This has been fixed under OS2008. It's time to upgrade.

Thanks for the information. But with all the other bugs with OS2008, I'm not sure that the upgrade is a 'win'. The unsafe removal doesn't seem to have any bad effects that I've noticed, but I guess I could fry the hardware.

What other bugs? OS2008 is a huge upgrade over OS2007 in all areas. Yes, there are a few minor niggles, but unless you have some specific application holding you back, it is an upgrade everybody should install.

It's unlikely to fry anything, but I had cards corrupt because of that stupid bug.

"diskutil unmount /Volumes/whatever" will safely unmount under 2007.
