Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these Sony Wireless Keypads with their n800 yet:

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Prod...oduct_id=72569

It is a bluetooth device and I've read about people using them with devices other than the ps3 with success. It seems like this would be a great little kb for the n800. FYI these ps3 devices all recharge via USB and use the same USB cable as the n800, so it really would be a nice match.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Yes, it would work, but the design looks very impractical for use with anything but a Sixaxis. The keys are tiny, and you'd have that horrible little clip raising the keyboard at entirely the wrong angle to type. I'd recommend the new Apple bluetooth keyboard, it takes a few AA batteries, it's made of 2mm thick aluminium, and has gorgeous buttons, taken straight off a Macbook. It's only a tiny bit more than that PS3 keypad, and I think it's well worth it.

I grabbed one for $10 at a flea market... yes it does work and so does the cool mouse feature ( where you drag your finger over the keys)!

IMPORTANT: you need to CALIBRATE the MOUSE function or it will behave horribly. After you press and hold the red and blue top buttons for a few seconds it will give you a blink and the mouse feature works very well.

Now I think I'll hack off the extra bits on the bottom that are used to clamp onto the PS3 controller.

Also, I'll need to remap some keys as there is no control or escape keys.

The mouse feature works best with easyDebian and other apps where the mouse pointer is visible. I've got a mouse enabling app installed from before and that will be required. You'll have to search elsewhere in the forum for the mouse stuff ( hint: it's not perfect ).

And finally.. Charging: it seems that it needs to be connected to an intelligent usb host to charge. Just using a powered mini-usb from a wall wart or hub (without a computer) does not seem to work? This may be a problem on longer trips.
