hi everybody
it almost has been a month that im using n810.
i have been developing apps. symbian smartphones
for example alertme and ngun
i want to develop my own apps. on maemo with python
but it seems i need work a lot more
because i have never needed to know classes etc. while developing for symbian.
im also familiar with c languages because i have been using acknex game engine on computer to create small 3d games.

so...
where should i start
i downloaded lots of pdf books etc. to learn pytgtk
but im still at the helloworld.app level.
i could make helloworld app. but i dunno how to resize button etc.
there was a wiki page on forum.nokia.com to find lil code snippets.
but i couldnt find any page as useful as that page for maemo

please help
i'll be waiting for your advises

by the way i have never used a linux operated computer before
im a totally stranger to this OS.

For me python on maemo is a lot easier than python s60, you have more tools and more liberty, but I'm from the 'linux world', I understand that can be a little bit different for people coming for other 'worlds'

Remember that, besides pygtk(hildon), you can also use other python UI toolkits (pyQt, pyELF...).

If you have some difficulties, ask here, on the maemo mailing lists or in the maemo irc channel (#maemo), our community is very friendly and helpful .

thanks for advises
im sure it will be a better experience developing apps for these devices due to big screen resolution and touch capability rather than developing for s60v3
i installed glade to my desktop computer for designing gui
i think im gonna re-install deblet to use glade on n810
