I haven't been able to find an rsync package for Fremantle (N900 target) and believe I have the following repositories properly configured:
  • Nokia Applications
  • Nokia System Software Updates
  • Maemo Extras
  • extras-devel
  • extras-testing
  • fremantle-tools

Where would I be able to find this essential-for-me package for Fremantle on the N900?

TIA,

Jeff

Grsync is overkill if you just want the tool for scripting or remote access.

rsync by itself is also in the extras-testing repository:

Code:
~ $ apt-cache show rsync
Package: rsync
Priority: optional
Section: net
Installed-Size: 648
Maintainer: Ubuntu Core Developers <ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com>
Architecture: armel
Version: 3.0.4-3maemo3
Depends: libacl1 (>= 2.2.11-1), libc6 (>= 2.5.0-1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.2.1), libpopt0 (>= 1.10), lsb-base (>= 3.2-4), base-files (>= 3.1)
Suggests: openssh-client, openssh-server
Filename: pool/fremantle/free/r/rsync/rsync_3.0.4-3maemo3_armel.deb
Size: 343498

Description: fast remote file copy program (like rcp)
rsync is a program that allows files to be copied to and from remote
machines in much the same way as rcp. It has many more options than
rcp, and uses the rsync remote-update protocol to greatly speed up
file transfers when the destination file already exists.
 .
The rsync remote-update protocol allows rsync to transfer just the
differences between two sets of files across the network link.
 .
This package also includes rsyncd daemon functionality.
