tools --> preferences --- > idle/status.
it's the tab to the far right. easy to miss. use the stylis to click on the tiny arrow to get to it.

i have now installed the msn pllugin for conversations and found it works a lot nicer than pidgin

using pidgin with my msn account ... if i select my status as 'available' then do other things the status automatically changes to 'away' after a length of time ... about 5 mins
anyone know how to make status stay as 'available' permanantly (unless i decide to change it myself)
