Nokia-N800-51:~/initfs_flasher# mount -o remount,ro /dev/mtdblock3 /mnt/initfs
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x00047050 ***
Aborted

Can someone please, or multiple people please run this command, it will not cause any problems. I just want to see if this works for others or if all n800 get this error?

mount -o remount,ro /dev/mtdblock3 /mnt/initfs

then do a

df

and please post the output.

Thanks in advance!!

Firmware 2.2006.51-6. My N800 has no known issues at this time.

Code:
~ $ whoami
user
~ $ sudo gainroot
Root shell enabled

BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 3:1.1.3-3.osso17) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/home/user # mount -o remount,ro /dev/mtdblock3 /mnt/initfs
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x00047050 ***
Aborted
/home/user # df

/dev/mmcblk1p1 999664 539232 460432 54% /media/mmc1
/dev/mmcblk0p1 730720 219984 510736 30% /media/mmc2
/dev/mtdblock3 2048 2036 12 99% /mnt/initfs
Note that even though the mount command appears to have failed, it has mounted /dev/mtdblock3. And if you execute the mount command multiple times, you'll end up with multiple instances of /dev/mtdblock3 being mounted at the same mount point!

Thanks for the response, you confirm that it is a bug, and not hardware problem.

You need to install becomeroot or flash to R&D mode to be root. You need to be root to run this command. Milhouse has confirmed it for me though. Thanks for trying!!
