I'm looking for a D-Bus call which tries to connect to available WLAN connections (known ones). For example if you open Web browser and the device is not connected and then you start loading a certain page, the device automatically connects to a known WLAN. I would like to trigger this connect automatically. And yes, I know how to connect to specific saved connection, but this is not it...

Use the first signature form of http://maemo.org/api_refs/5.0/beta/i...2c8ba00546360f ?

Though it will connect with any IAP that is available, including mobile one.

I'd guess the other option is to do a scan request and then connecting to a specific wlan from the scan results.

Hi,

here is as well a python-script, which shows, how the connect request is done. Change it to the IAP you want to connect to and you can see how it works.

Do what krk969 says, but use "[ANY]" (with quotation marks) as the IAP name.

Thanks, qwerty12, that's what I was looking for. The dbus call command was also added to the appropriate wiki pages. Thank you all for help.
