ok guys i know there have been TONS of people on the site asking questions but i got some pretty easy questions it least for the guys who play around with the N800 a lot. So if you can help me please do.

1. Is it ok to leave the cover on the screen that came with it or should i buy a real cover for it?

2. For the web cam are all of them have pretty bad picture quality to them mine is like almost staticky looking(if there is such a thing)

3. Now for the programs that you can download are they all able to run on the N800 like are there any programs that the 800 runs that the 770 cant?

4. Now for my last and always wondered questions why do they make headphone with one longer cord then the other?

oooo yeah and the case on this thing its almost like two pieces of paper stabled together its just asking for it to slip out on the floor def buying a hardcover case soon

Assuming you're talking about the screen protector on the N800: Yes, you can leave it on. It's not very durable though.

In low light conditions (i.e.: Inside) the web cam may produce static-like artifacts.

There is a list here: http://maemo.org/maemowiki/OS2007_Tested_Applications
It doesn't seem to be maintained anymore. In any case, I have yet to encounter an ITOS2006 application that will not run on ITOS2007.

If you want to be certain, go here: http://downloads.maemo.org/ and select "IT OS 2007" in the "IT OS" box.

The longer lead goes behind your neck. The idea is that you have less wire dangling in front of you.

The N800's "case" is probably the single most griped item about on this list. Lots of people swear by the DS cases, others swear at them. Simply put: The N800 comes without a decent case. We are trying to get over it...

The device is actually a little smaller than I thought it would be. I am planning on starting a case search this weekend. Maybe a cross between a case thats a little bit bigger and some custom cut non-static foam
