i figured it out! you press edit on the device you want and press connect!
but is there anyway to make a desktop icon to connect to a device?

It is normal feature for bluetooth headset when turned on to try to connect to the last device it was connected to. So basically you do as follows:
1. Turn BT on your N900 first.
2. Turn ON your BT headset. It automatically connects to your phone.

ahh i always turned on my stereo first. thank you!
I got a problem!
i have paired up my phone with my bluetooth stereo and it connects fine!
but now that i want to connect to my device again i cannot find anywhere to connect to it again.
any ideas?
