I just found today on my desktop that left shift+double click zooms out google map for iphone web version. I tried this on N900 by holding shift key and use cursor mode to double click. But it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know why?

double click is reserved for microb zooming operations AFAIK

do you get to zoom in on google maps with double click after all?

To get double click zooming, you need to go into 'manipulation mode' first. See:

Yes forget to say that by double-click I mean microb is in cursor mode.

Sorry - misread your first post...
No idea why it doesn't work though.
FWIW zoom out works by changing the 'z' value in the url

Thanks Beatty, yes I am aware of the method. There is another local script mod, but the search result will be cleared every time you change zoom level. That's why I still prefer other cleaner solutions.

I will experiment more but it could be that Microb simply doesn't take simultaneous keyboard and touch action.

twaelti's maeMaps webpage (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...hlight=maemaps) does keep the search & routing results when zooming.
