Gtalk- I managed to video chat with a friend who was on a Mac book. I could see him very clearly. He can't see me. We heard each other clearly. Is there something I have to do the my phone to activate the front camera? I initated this call.

Skype- Whenever I tried to make video calls to the contacts in my list it either disconnected or only voice connection was established. It gets disconnected irregardless of who initiates.

I would like to use both function on my phone. Has anyone else encountered similar issues and know how to fix this?

Can't find anything specific in the forum.

Thanks.

I've only used video calling through Skype, and these are my observations so far:

With PR1.2 I was only able to make have a two-way video call with a Skype client 4.0 or newer on Windows. Video could only be activated after either N900 or Windows initiated a voice call and then activated video option.

Since PR1.3, I am able to start a video call to either a Mac or Windows computer (provided that Mac has the 5.0 beta version of Skype). I can start a video call and no longer have to initiate a voice call and activate video after the connection has been established.
