Are you really on fremantle-1.2, aka PR1.2?
The package managing system checks if the downloaded list is correct, but this time it is not. Might just be a temporary failure or some false list. Just wait for some time then refresh the package list again.

ummm....i can't be sure if it's failure bcz i'm trying to install apps before a long time and the same problem is repeated every time

ya it's happening with me too, I'm on PR1.3

now my phone needs an update ....and i don't have enough knowledge to identify if it's pr-1.2 or anything else ....

Btw: Did you write the error message manually (with typos) or did you copy and paste it (meaning some errors in the repository address?
Start the settings application, scroll down to product information. You will find the version code there.
Post it here if you are nor sure about it. You will find information about updating the firmware in the wiki http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

yes i wrote it manually ....
the version is : 10.2010.19-1.003

You could flash your device with a newer version.
Make a backup of your files and also use the Backup Application to save your settings and the list of your installed applications.
Then update http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

and i wanna ask if this version supports the portrait display or no.....

It should resolve those repo problems and portrait mode works in PR1.3, but not flawless with all applications. But how should i know, having it disabled right away, as i never saw anything diserable in it.
