I want to replace my screen because of scratches on the front plastic part and probably a little injury on the LCD in the form of a 1.5 centimeter long, 2 milimeter wide brighter line in the right part of the screen, got it in a really nasty snobowarding crash

So, is this http://www.siansmobiles.co.uk/catalo...oducts_id=1244 product a replacement for both, the plastic front part and the LCD?

Thanks in advance.

The part stated in that picture as TOUCH WINDOWS ASSY (I'm guessing its the front plastic screen) sure looks like its present in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDQ81cahD1c

The video is a installation instruction for the siansmobile screen i linked in my previous post.

I'm sorry for if im wrong but i am clueless about the N900 hardware as you might have noticed.

-edit-

My bad, i watched it again. Its only the bottom part :/
Any ideas where to find the top plastic part or the whole package, top and bottom, and how much they cost?

Thanks agian.

Depends if you want the genuine article or a compatible substitute. But you should find both components on ebay. Genuine Nokia spares will set you back quite a bit of money.
The plastic part is commonly known as a “digitizer” and the gen aticle can be as much as £60 (or equivalent depending where you live). I've seen substitutes for as little as £10 on ebay.
I'd guess both parts would set you back over £100 if you bought Nokia originals. Subs would probably be around £40 - £50, I'd guess.

I replaced my LCD(just LCD, not digitizer) with an OEM one; it's just as good as the original(probably non-branded, made in the same factory/assembly line).
Mind, the hard part is keeping dust off the screen while you're assembling it. Otherwise, it's just a matter of being very careful and following the disassembly instructions.

Thanks a lot guys. So I'd probably be better off buying one more N900 then going for the whole package, digitizer and LCD
