Just a heads up to everyone, if you connect through your phone's data connection via bluetooth make sure you have TCP header compression enabled. The N800 (which calls it PPP compression under advanced settings) did enable it automatically when I paired with my Nokia 6133 and told it I had T-Mobile service. My Apple PowerBook however did not have this enabled automatically.

The difference in speed and lag is night and day. It's worth double checking if you feel your bluetooth connection is slow.

To check go to Tools...Control Panel...Connectivity....Connections...Edit.Next.Ne xt...Advanced

"Van Jacobson compression reduces the normal 40 byte TCP/IP packet headers down to 3-4 bytes for the average case. It does this by saving the state of TCP connections at both ends of a link, and only sending the differences in the header fields that change. This makes a very big difference for interactive performance on low speed links"

Odd. My Macbook Pro had PPP compression turned on by default.

So... Excuse my ignorance, but should it be checked or not? LOL...
