install powatool first....
the open the apps & click the status bar button on the apps...
there you can enable & disable any plugins on your status bar....
my advise disable all plugin first the re-enable all the plugins...after re-enable it reboot your phone to see the result...

Installing somthing from extras-devel which is not mentained for a year is not a wise move.
Losing the battery icon is a long time illness of the tablets. Please try the command I posted first.

now for what purpose have you installed that widget ?
may be there is an alternative of it ?
