Hello,
sorry to up this very old post, but it's the closest to what I search:
I'm a big blender fan and use it daily. For me it's important to use it on my n900, one part is for fun, one is just to be able to test small things anywhere.
But noway to find a blender build. I googled a lot, the links of this post are dead, projetc-neptune seems dead too (and there is no download there).
Is there a download somewhere ? please
Does anybody who downloaded it some time ago want tu put it on the internet ?

i still have the binaries from post #24, PM me if you want them. i'm not gonna put them anywhere public though, as i have no idea about the license

but i doubt this will be of much use to you, it runs _very_ slow.
too bad we didn't get to see that opengl-wrapper

Thank you Subcore, but I don't manage to send you pm. Maybe because my account i too new ?
For the license, I have no idea either. Blender is under gpl, but how exactly ?
I will look into it because I'm sur more people would be interested on this Blender on n900. Even if it's slow...

yes i believe you can't send PMs unless you have 5 posts.

yes, blender is GPL, but these binaries contain an OpenGL to OpenGL ES wrapper by shinkamui - otherwise they wouldn't run at all on the N900.
he didn't say if it's okay to redistribute, so i'm taking the safe route

So I have to post 3 useless posts :-D
I tried the ssh x forwarding as explainedby somebody, it worked for the gimp, bit didnt for blender because of openGL. And any way, I wont ssh to my home computer through the internet... So I still need this Blender build.
Too bad we have no news, as Blender is evolving so fast this time around.

Thank you subcore, I received everything. No luck for getting it to work for the moment. Always dependency problem, the libc6 number is not the same as the one given on this thread, so I don"t manage to instal libopenal. I will try again later on.

For the license problem, the binary made by shinkamui is based on blender which is GPL, does'nt that mean that it makes it gpl too? Though I would prefer ask him directly how he wants to release it, he just disapeared, so I would like to post somewhere a tutorial step by step on how to make it work. But I don't want to make it the wrong way as I'm not a lawier.

I'm stuck on installing libgl1
trying to overwrite /usr/lib/libglu.so.1, which is also in package libglu1-mesa
Errors were encountered while processind:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libgl1_7.......
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Libopenal instaled, the other deb too, only this one missing

So here I am:
Blender doesn't launch without libgl1,
If I remove libglu1, i can install libgl1, blender sort of launch, a window open but with nothing in it (I see the last app, generaly the x-term).
I start to wonder if it would'nt be easier to learn how to compile blender for arm, and to include in it the opengl wrapper described here:
http://forum.openhandhelds.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=884
But there isn't much activity in this post....
