if possible a .deb file needed - maemo.org

is there a .deb file for hildon-status-menu 0.3.40-5 ?
because i am trying to install mp-fremantle-community-pr and it is asking for this version of hildon-status-menu :$
i have installed the 0.3.39 version from a .deb file but still it is not installing the latest version :$

3. Click the green arrow with "Install" written on it (and "Testing" written below) in the top right corner.
4. Hildon Application Manager should open I guess.
5. Accept all it asks you. ("Done" or "Accept" or "Yes").
6. Wait for it to finish.
7. Close Application Manager.
8. Open applications menu.
9. Find and tap the "Community SSU" icon.
10. Accept all, after finish reboot.

thank you for your time and reply but i already have done all these steps.
but at the end it says that is already installed but when i try to find it in menu it didn't appear

hmm... you should not do that if you don't know what you're doing, but you can enable communitu ssu repository other way...

1. Open HAM
2. Tap the top bar
3. Select managing app catalogues/repositories
4. Check if you have cssu repository
5. If not, something earlier went completely wrong, but if you really need it and are not afraid of reflashing your device in case something goes wrong (you have been warned), you can add it manually after clicking "New" (you have to check CSSU thread or ask someone who has it enabled, I don't at the moment so cannot help you).

If you feel very brave (but this will probably also break your device, although you can try), you can find the debs of community ssu here: http://repository.maemo.org/communit...ool/fremantle/ , the package you're looking for is here: http://repository.maemo.org/communit...n-status-menu/ (you need file hildon-status-menu_0.3.40-5_armel.deb) I don't recommend this way because if your application manager complies it cannot find it, then something is wrong, but I don't know what...

No problem. Can you check if you have CSSU repository visible in HAM? And supply output of command

and yes i checked the repositories , maemo and community ssu one's are visible else all of the remaining failed to update :P
that's why using fapt-get instead of apt-get .

After further consideration, I think I might know what is wrong :P Did you do anything like suggested here http://forums.internettablettalk.com...3&postcount=32 after installing the deb?

If yes, you should (you need to have leafpad installed, if you don't have it but have another text editor like pygtkedit or other, modify command, if you don't know what it means, just install leafpad and type what I suggest you :P):

Well, you should use apt-get to install CSSU (I'm not sure but I think it's required)... What errors does it show (when "apt-get update" fails)?
