Points that might make it harder:
-I'm not sure if the specs are open, if not, that's certainly something that the community could ask Nokia to open. Said this, there might be some good reason that i cannot think of that prevents the publication of the datasheet.
-The driver might require some tweaking.

MCE is already driving the LED, so at least the API should be available.

Ya know, I might actually have done so. At least, given enough booze and/or boredom

But I know from the FCC filings that all the chips have shielding on them. And all the (de)soldering I've ever attempted has ended in complete failure

What is the possibility of the screen being multi-touch. seems a little too major for an easter egg but would sure be nice.

Yes,

See it now. Problem is I'm so heavy handed (make sure it registers the tap habit) that I never noriced it before. Max pressure all the time...

Could be the screen protector I've got on there as well I suppose,can't help.
