I started to use my n900 in the car quite a bit. My car has an OEM pop up screen from the dashboard and I have wired a 3.5 to RCA A/V to get the full visual and audio outputs of the n900 whilst driving. Lovely 8inch screen to view on and Bose system for the sounds.
I'm really happy with the set up, but i would love to control the n900 functions without using the screen/keyboard.
In an ideal scenario, I would use some sort of Bluetooth based controller/joystick/presenter to access my applications/answer calls but in reality this might be rinky-dink?
I see something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Targus-Bluet...ht_4861wt_1139
but I would think scrolling through the desktop screens might be tough with this device...possibly able to make simple click selects.
just wondered if anyone else is using N900 as the car media center with an external screen.
Obviously if my 8 inch screen was touch, and linked to n900 via USB that would be sweetbix !
