Hey, i ordered my N800 from buy.com over a week ago, they shipped it fast. But the delivery status hasent changed for over 4 days. Any ideas?

If they really shipped it, the delivery company would be the responsible party. My experiences with Buy.com have been good. My guess is that the status will change soon.

Tamadrums888 how long did it take for your order to get past the processing stage? I believe I got in on the $199 deal over the weekend as my order was placed and they have charged my card but the site still says they are processing my order. I ordered in the AM on Sunday. I would of thought something should of been updated by now.

Odds are the issue is with Fedex Ground. They are the bastard stepchild of Fedex and as it was explained to me, they run under an entirely different set of rules. The drivers are contractors that are paid by how many packages they deliver. That means that they can pretty much knock off whenever they feel like it and nobody cares.

I once had a package that was supposed to be delivered by them that took a few extra days because the d00chebag decided that just felt like not dealing with it. He even went so far as to lie about leaving a notice that I wasnt home. Funny thing was- My office is in my home and I was there all day.

Buy.com acknowledged the order on 11/25 with an 11/28 estimated delivery.
Per the FedEx website, the package left Bloomington, CA @ 5:43 AM 11/27.
It appears to be on track for and 11/28 delivery.

Yeah, ground pretty much means that you get a couple of status updates until it goes on teh semi, then it's a 2-3 day trip till it gets to the local sort facility and then usually quickly onto a truck for delivery, or onto another truck to your local facility and then on a delivery vehicle to you.

I ordered from Buy,com on a Thursday and received it the following Tuesday (from Ca to Ok) by ground. I didn't get an update until early Tuesday. and then by noon it was in my hands.

What was your estimated delivery date, tamadrums888?

It is the 29th...this thursday.

Same here. I was worried myself.

Ordered buy.com with FedEx ground. Shipped from Bloomington, CA, it took about 3-4 days to get another web update. The next web update said it was on the eastern seaboard, just a state away. So, I just assume it took a long time to drive across the country non-stop, considering there was no scan-in/out to report on the web update.

If it helps, my five day delivery took over 7 days to get here. And, I paid extra for faster delivery. (not recommended) But the Nokia N800 was new in the box and has been great. No complaints.
