yeah, i had the same issue, the .06 kernel works, but .07 rc3 just gets stuck in white screen switches off

I've searched but haven't had much success in finding an answer for this. I assume it's supposed to be working as part of nitdroid (please correct me if I'm wrong) but have been unable to get it to work so far. I've tried Internet2.voicestream and get nothing. epc.tmobile reroutes me to the upgrade page except it doesn't load I'm only shown a link.

Same thing happened to me also...I did it on a fresh flash of Maemo & EMMC...now flashing again & will try with the old .06 kernel and see how it goes..

im having a problem reinstalling

ive done an apt-get update

then apt-get install nitdroid-installer

but i'm getting error 'package not found'

theres also a couple of other apps that used to show in repos but are not there (unzip and unrar addon for file manager)

It's the kernel configuration file (.config), e-yes had made some tweaks to the default config.....google it

Hi there,

I am trying to install N11 and N12 on my n900 but while installing either of them I get an error, I do this:

root
cd /home/user/MyDocs
bzip2 -d N11_Vostok.tar.bz2
cd /home
mkdir /and
cd /
mount /home /and
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/N11_Vostok.tar


but after this i get the message:

tar: can't open the old file sdcard: Is a directory

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME AS I AM NOT ABLE TO INSTALL N11 OR N12 BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM, THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hello All,

First time installation of NITDroid thru the information on first page and everything went flawlessly. Thanks to everybody who prepared and helped on it.
Market fix also done with only 2 times boot.

Two problem:
One is that I can't charge under NITDroid, but charging is fine in Maemo.
Second is still couldn't get rid of airplane mode.

What else can I do?

1) X Terminal :
root
apt-get update
apt-get install nitdroid-installer
y
y again if it asks again.

After the nitdroid-installer package is installed, close X Terminal, but do NOT run the installer you just downloaded.

2) X Terminal :
root
cd /home/user/MyDocs
bzip2 -d N11_Vostok.tar.bz2
cd /home
mkdir /and
cd /
mount /home /and
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/N11_Vostok.tar
dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb"

3)Have You multiboot installed?
4) I should look for right spelling.
Very little can go wrong: try again !!
