Wait with judging the system until you see it.

The consumer doesn't care about the OS. Even a grandma of a friend of mine is using the N900 and is a happy user.
Exactly what i've been saying here. The OS is so well integrated that for my average usage , it has everything already integrated in it that i didn't even want to search for apps.

hope Nokia lives up to the challenge....

i am waiting desperately for this, as this device truly represents true innovation (not incremental improvements of the likes of htc, samsung etc)

But again Nokia is a company that has repeatedly proven incompetent of capitalizing on its innovations.... (e.g. the delay in release despite the OS being ready late last year, thanks to Elop's "decision")

sad to see the brilliance frittered away.

So desperately waiting to watch and see...

In the history of mobile-devices, the week to come will either be a turning point towards a radically better future, or a dismal let down of a company by idiots at the top.

I really was considering getting this device, but thanks for the info, looks like I can stop holding out to see how it runs when it is released and getting my hopes up. I know most people can use a touch screen phone keyboard fine, I'm just one of those few people that can't. My index finger can make a US penny totally vanish pointing the tip over it. Stupid sausage fingers

Well here is to hoping samsung, sony, or lg make a good handset with either meego on it or open enough to get meego on it running good.

Stupid teaser getting my hopes up.

    Hi,
Good to know that it has a smooth UI. How would you rate the UI performance against iPhone / WP7 ?

    No hw keyboard?????

    Seriously, wtf :/

I'm pretty sure 95% of the community wants a keyboard, why the hell doesn't they just make more of those "developer edition" phones then?

Nokia is really bugging me now.......
