What it is:
An application to help solve hangman puzzles. You enter a word with dashes (-) indicating unknown letters, and it lets you know what words from the dictionary could be possible solutions. It also recommends letters to guess next (based on how many words each letter is in).
Where you can get it:
The package is currently in extras-devel, and is called HangmanHelper. Make sure to update your catalogues if the package does not show up.
Why I made it:
I made a python script that that solves hangman puzzles, and decided to create a maemo gui for it.
Future enhancements:
-Larger dictionary (let me know if you have any recommendations)
-Support for phrases / multiple word puzzles (I am still trying to figure out what the best way to do this is)
Please let me know if you have any issues with this, or recommendations for enhancements. I am also looking for a larger wordlist, so let me know if you find any good word / phrase lists.
