Some kind of 'backup menu'?

No chance

What about using one of the several other threads that are existing?

Or what about using your own thread where you've asked this question already?

Too subtle to be sarcasm.

Allow me,

OP, it sounds like you could do with some kind of interface, like a menu, that could do backups. Like a backup menu or such. Freely available from the repo's with a similar name to backup menu

This is what I advised last time, though I have never tested it myself, so any comment will be apreciated.

...but that requires a USB connection - you are talking Mass Storage mode via a PC.

What about using SSH over WiFi if your battery isn't dead yet
you can copy all of it except it takes sometime Also you can charge you battery via another phone(nokia 5800) which has the same battery

This is the way to do it if your phone still works. My USB connection broke a few months ago on my N900. I used a desktop charger to charge the spare battery and kept swapping them round.

Install SSH client and server from the repos, then install WinSCP on your computer (if you're using Windows). When you have your N900 and PC connected to your home network, you can wirelessly transfer files between the two.

Good luck and feel free to ask if you need more info on how to do this.

True, but only to transfer files, which is not a big deal (ssh/winscp or micro sd).

Quick! Before the battery goes dead:

Use the built-in "Backup" program to save a backup on a MicroSD card.

This is what I did when I was in your situation and almost everything was restored (Contacts, calendar entries and well-behaved applications) except some of my hacks and customizations.
