Well, good news is that this far is it certainly looks like a software problem caused by advanced power. We're waiting on the even better news.

without advanced power the battery still shows 0% when I unplug the charger and still no green light. instead of beeping 3 times in a row for "no battery" signal like it used to do, now it beeps once but keeps beeping for a few times with a interval of 3-5 mins...again until update to an almost full battery.

here is the snap i took this morning.. ( the device was ON the entire time of 0% before charging)

Well. I assume you rebooted. If not, reboot anf charge again.

Though I have to notice that voltage went up and charging stopped, there is something wrong with the percentages. Do you have the new kernel 47 that brings battery module (or have installed battery module to get temperatures)?

Doesn't seem to be a battery issue, it goes up to 95 plus, it's just that percentage is odd to say the least.

I think I see a reboot at 18:00, and battery seems fine but percentage is off. Oh, did you fiddle with usb host mode?

My best guess so far is that something in your software interferes with percentage calculation. It's better without AP, still off.

Try to blacklist battery module:

echo "blacklist bq27x00_battery" >>/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

make sure that

echo cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

contains "blacklist bq27x00".

Reboot and see if percentage follows now.

yes the 18.00 reboot was after uninstalling advcd power.

how do I check my kernel version? I don't know which one I have...

and I didn't mess with usb host mode..

I'll try today when I get homethe blacklist thing.

but I think that the battery still holds up fine like it used to.. but it's all freaky...I don't know anyone wih a N900 to test the battery. :/

I'll try to fix this before buying a new battery

Don't think the battery age is your issue, as voltage seems to peak, but percentage doesn't keep up. Even with old battery, charge should reach green.

Not saying it's not old.

Also, you can try the blacklist thing now and see if percentage follows voltage better. E.g., percentage is really, really pesimistic in your screen. Check mine:

the cat shows blacklist bq27x00_battery.

later on I'll post the eye results.
