It's nice to see that the N900 is capable of playing 720p.
It's shameful to see people bashing someone because of their poor english.

@Freemangordon well I guess it wouldn't actually show 720p over composite. Not that I've tried. Regardless, perhaps push it through usb by some wizardry or other?

I'm not sure if that would work, OP was playing videos in nitdroid, not maemo; so, to have the video output to the external screen you would need to have usb2hdmi for nitdroid.

It can play them, but im a bit of a perfectionist and thats to laggy for my taste, lots of missed frames, so in contrast it can play 720p but only at 15-20fps to achieve no lags, and if you where to throw a USB-HDMI on there i really doubt you would get more then 10fps without lags/dropped frames

The hole 720p & 1080p scene is more for something like the N9 or generally any device with HDMI out, or a better screen.

I tried playing it on maemo with:
mplayer -vo x11 pirates*
without any scaling.

it works, it shows only the central part of the video, and it is not smooth. Also, I'm overclocking to 1150MHz.

yes, I saw it, and it is definitively smoother on nitdroid. I just wanted to point out that the video is not 720p, its vertical dimension is a bit smaller.

and n900 forever only change by a mobile with 4 cores 2.5ghz 1280x720p display resolution with 12mpx xenon flash , 2gb ram , and 1gb virtual , gpu mali t-600 or snapdragon 220 or nvidia tegra III jej with ubuntu 11.04 arm wtih gsm network ,dual boot android 3,0 or higher
