yes it did but some times when i try and use App man it still says no catalogues in use then the next time it works seems to be a bit hit and miss so just gonna use xterm now
Hi, I start also with a problem here, not wanting to start a new thread.
In program manager I am unable to install or upgrade any apps: no space, free some memory.
In x-terminal I see I have still 76Mb in rootfs and have no problems to install new programs.
now using apt-get upgrade gives these lines:
<the following packages have been kept back:
libsdl-mixer1.2
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded>
Has this to do with not being able to upgrade in program manager?
thanks for any help.

No, that's nothing to do with it. App manager can be very poor about judging space (and about giving the correct error in many cases). 76M in rootfs should be enough though - do you have enough free in /home as well (as that's where /opt lives, and where most of the programs will be installed to)?
