keyboard device was supposed to come out last year. the non kbd one this year. but due to software problems it kept getting delayed and now hardware is too old , Nokia cannot charge high price for it and they want only one model... so 2nd model become consumer model.
And here we are again!... I believe 100% there is a delayed 2010 device, "Jessie's Girl", and that there can be a newer keyboardless device. I take all the evidences for both. But it still seems to me you people are just speculating about JG not being marketed, announced and sold just like any other device. Where is the evidence on THAT? Have you seen crying executives in front of a whiteboard, banging their heads on the wall saying "we can't sell this piece of **** now, because it is only a 1GHz single-core with the most beautiful design in the whole industry!!"
What are the really bad specs? Does it have "just" 32G storage, for example? 512 RAM? What is it? Because if it is the CPU, you are yourself saying the newer device doesn't seem to be dual core either. And if it's a single core ARMv7, there ain't nothing much better than 1GHz around.
How can u be sure it will come to european? Maybe its other way around.
Uh, I'm not sure at all
But Nokia is already (still) strong in europe and don't have so much to gain in europe compared to u.s. I was just speculating that they didn't want to pollute the Windows Phone story in the u.s. since that OS is supposed to bring them back to the u.s. market.

maybe everything is there to make Harmattan run... but choppy when compared to the consumer device - what could be very bad press, releasing a phone with an OS performing sub-optimal, and tghen burning the OS, making the consumer device sell bad.

The whole idea is that the device was delayed back in 2010 so a better OS could be released. You are saying they failed to make the necessary enhancements on the first, but that they succeeded in the newer hardware? They already say both would be running the same software!!
And what could be the hardware difference in the new design that would make the experience much better? If it's not a dual core, then what could it be? Just more RAM? A good graphics unit, what? Multi-touch???...
Well, there is nobody saying the keyboard device will be marketed.
There are somebody saying a non keyboard device will be marketed.
Again, the second device is more real. sorry. marketed is the important word. Anything else is imaginary.
Until it gets in our pocket, everything is "imaginary". Hardware rumors are "real", they mean the company is developing that, even though it might never see the light of day. Marketing rumors are never too solid, because they can drop a project at any time. But the project existed anyway...

Edit:
and you're not annoying because of what you say, but because of how you say it.
i didnt say anything about it being marketed, i never made mention of a marketing plan from nokia ... the N900 wasnt marketed (with the full faith of success) and it seemed to sell just fine. i dont know why a device being marketed is relevant especially right now here on TMO ... so someone telling you that youve never heard from before says nokia will advertise a device, that no one has seen, and you take that over a teaser/fcc doc/nokia THEMSELVES telling you well see it in a few weeks. what i dont understand is why everyone thinks it will be that hard to get a device if a company is selling it, and why thats relative to its existence? who the **** cares. its coming, for a fact 100%. Lankku may be announced at the same time, but it will be released later in the year, and TRUST me nokia is NOT going to **** up their Q4 MS launch so they have a few balls to juggle.
i cannot wait to see everyones faces on the 21st.
my syntax is fine, just dont take it personally. youre not the one in the minority ...
i asked two three seniors. all say no dual core so i guess no. i have no proof for either ways for this so even i don't know.
Noooo, I don't want to believe you so I won't! lol. I'm still gonna keep on hoping it's dual unless the single core is at least 1.5Ghz stock, and can be overclocked to 2Ghz... hmmm... then I wouldn't know which one I'd prefer... Damn you Nokia for making me dream!
Ever been in the army, no? Well if one person in a group makes a mistake or the wrong move the whole group will be punished, not just you. Because this way you will make sure everyone gets it.
