so the screen on the dev and consumer device is, so it seems, the same. so presuming the processor will be more or less the same we can almost surely conclude that the dev device is better -> n8 camera + keyboard. that and maemo 6, is all i need, i don't give a damn for it being thin. so both devices will surely have old specs and because i'm no developer i'll be forced to buy kbless device. i mean i love maemo but this is stupid, i just might eat my own sh*t and rather buy a samsung galaxy s2 for (probably) the same price.
I'm pretty happy with the specs, but a bit worried about the missing keyboard on the consumer device. It makes it a pain to write boot loaders or whatever you call it because the touchscreen doesn't usually work without a driver and the OS isn't loaded at that point... Maybe some other hardware key will work or we can make a simple driver for this purpose. And yeah, key shortcuts for copy and paste are nice, but I think as long as the phone HAS copy and paste it's an improvement over WP7 and the original iOS, so I'm not gonna complain. Stylus is still a possibility btw, I am still betting on the MaxTouch screen as it supports proximity/hover and that could be our secret killer feature. And those screens work with fingernails and stylus...
meh
if we bury that in 2000 more posts he should be safe
No but srsly... it's a reasonable Qn to ask, is it not?
If I were in the same position there's no way I'd be confirming/denying anything.
Heck I wouldn't have even entertained the idea of joining this thread.
And IME working in the IT industry for the pat 10yrs, 99% of people would be the same.
Not trying to troll...
Just doesn't make sense why so many 'employees' are seemingly sticking their necks out in this thread.
tswindell confirmed some post ago that the device will have usb OTG an hdmi
Edit: Btw, a few days ago somebody said (i think it was zeh) that the device will have a special display. so you will not miss hw qwerty keyboard. Were there any new info about that technology?
Let's add some more:
13. 770 case/protective cover
14. d-pad
Please dont rub salt in our wounds.... I was excited for the N9..... but seeing this list has bought my excitement down.
After taking out these distinct nokia features.... what we are left is a Iclone.
