Hi all,
has anyone found a way to disable the pictures when using the contacts applet? I'd rather have some more contacts show up, instead of showing the icons most people haven't set anyway.
Thanks, SB

Yes, I have.
Open up your Contacts list. Open it's application menu and choose View -> List.
It will remove all the pictures. This will also affect the Speed Contacts home applet.

That's exactly the behavior I expected and that's what I tried first. But unfortunately it doesn't work for me. Changing the view in the contacts application doesn't have any influence on the speed contacts home applet. Maybe this has got something to do with my recovering from a backup after flashing.
Thanks, SB
