From one of Henry's presentation we can see that he's quite a fan of Linus: http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/tirri/echa04.pdf

and that his theory of Dynamics of Karma is interesting. He must also be a slashdot verteran. XD

    Interesting guy.

Despite the Elop story that no final decision was made until the night before the announcement.

I have to wonder how Nokia kept these people in the past, and why that's not working now.

Elop? Board of directors? Incentives? Or that so many people were used to having their way and being held accountable is a problem perhaps... either way, this mass exodus, I fear it's not over with yet.

    Hello $4.00 stock prices...

Fyi. Nokia just keeps Green for about a year (so the exodus hasn't officially begun ).

Coincidentally, he quited SUN, a company he worked for 20 years, soon after SUN settled with Microsoft in 2004: http://www.theserverside.com/news/th...hread_id=24933

Look like he doesn't like Microsoft very much.

Nokia replaced a (alleged) Microsoft hater with a (confirmed) Linus fan. My hope on Elop regain...(j/k ).

Henry Tirri left on first row and Linus on the right on first row. The wonder of Google image search. And yes, geeks dressing up for academic promotions is not healthy for eyesight. At least they aren't playing Jedi with their PhD swords (lol @ medieval traditions at University of Helsinki).

By the way, Tirri was chosen only as an acting CTO. Look for replacement is on.

Elop'd better be quick. His boss wouldn't be very satisfied with present arrangement.

The only thing that makes sense with whatever Nokia is doing is MS is going to buy Nokia ultimately.

    Reading your post and the

"status/ progress report on the WP7 lineups"?

    Why don't you say
"status/ progress report on resurrection trial"?
