Hi,

I have the faenza-n900 icon set on my device.
A very nice icon-set, but i'd like to change the battery icon on the applet bar (advanced-power monitor is installed) to that one like on the humanity icon set.
I don't know how and can't find its location.

May someone please tell me how should i do that?

If you want to change the icons, i would recommend to take a backup of these files first !

There are two types of battery icons - One you can see in the status bar (next to the signal strength indicator) and a larger one, shown in the status area (a “window popup” that opens when you tap the status bar, where you change profiles, Clock & Alarms, Internet connections, enable/disable Bluetooth, volume up/down, etc).

BATTERY levels image files are located in

Battery1 (home) location
/opt/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
Battery2 (popup window) location
/opt/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48×48/hildon/
Names of files (various charge levels and states) are as follows:

Names of files (Signal strength (0-5), band (2G, 2.5, 3G, 3.5) and mode [phone off, offline] ) are as follows:

Cell level and cell off/offline icons are 18×25 pixel 24-bit PNG files and cell band (2G, 2.5, 3G, 3.5) icons are 18×11 pixel 24-bit PNG.

when i try to replace the files with the ones i want (copy-paste), the old image, which I dont want, appears again. How can I copy the image I want from the humanity icon set to faenza icon set?

follow simple steps .

1- copy and paste the battery icons of faenza icon set you wanted to change , in your computer.

2- then copy the one's you wanted to replace , at your desktop .

3- use Winscp to explore your phone .

4 -for Battery1 (home) location
go to
/opt/usr/share/icons/faenza/scalable/hildon

for Battery2 (popup window) location
go to
/opt/usr/share/icons/faenza/48×48/hildon/

5 - reboot your mobile.



p.s the paths i have mentioned are the path for faenza icon set.

and i am afraid if you have gone to the paths mentioned above , it has changed icons for hicolor.
