Now before you shoot me because this question has been asked i'll describe what i've done so far. I've read through about 1/2 hours worth of complaints and hacks to try get it to work but no dice.

I've literally sat in a garage that gets no radio signal and had the phone sit ontop of a car next to the antenna and ontop of a stereo and i get no broadcast. I've tried fmboost but it does nothing. My old n900 worked no questions asked but this version is a newer revision. I've tried flashing it with every current 1.3 variant and it still make no difference. The Lfocus app hack doesnt seem to affect it either.

    Any ideas people?

    Cheers

It works great for me. Are you in the US? In some countries, trickery is required.

I'm in Australia and like i said i had a previous version but im not sure what image it had on it. regardless i've been testing it on clear stations and inside a garage that gets no radio reception so if it's sitting ontop of the antenna i would expect it to pump.

I can confirm i've tried fmtx faker tool and the fm boost and i got a ever so slight bit of music but i honestly think the antenna is a piece of rubbish in this one i would at least expect to to transmit halfway across a room before loosing signal. Far out nokia you do so many great things and you let me down on this hopefully the n9 can be the deal breaker!!

i hear audio and have it full ball but i only hear it if i sorta turn the screen towards the antenna and have it sitting ontop of it. I was looking through the fm faker tool and their was a switch for fcc 50 and 75 and other 50 and 75 ive tried all four. It was a hong kong n900 if that helps

Sometimes, I've noticed that Silent mode also is a factor for non-broadcasting of the Audio...

Could you try using another FM Radio too confirm its the same with the other radio too... Possibility exists that your FM Transmitter is a lil screwed.... but lets not judge so quickly.

when the fm transmitter is activated, you should not hear any audio coming out of the n900's built-in speakers.
