There have been many cases of companies buying companies much larger than them.

In this case, Nokia obviously has lots of resources and no clue how to use them to make a profit. This is a tempting target for any company that thinks it could use them more wisely. That's why there are takeover rumors.

It was basically stated that Samsung didn't have enough to buy Nokia. When I pointed out that many companies have bought companies bigger than them, I was saying that you don't need lots of resources to buy a company. I was not implying anything about the size of Samsung itself.

These are markets where Samsung Electronics are #1 or #2. That was in 2008. And Samsung Electronics is just one of many Samsung divisions.

Samsung has had a phenomenal growth since 2008, if I am not mistaken.
