Woo! "Ilmatar"! That suggests something very new and stylish somehow. Air hints towards gestures. Ilmatar is from the Finnish national epic, and is the Virgin air goddess (or spirit as wikipedia suggests). This seriously gets my juices flowing. I'll have to see if my sources know of this
I still hold to the idea that there'll be something in the bag tomorrow that NO ONE saw coming. Smoke and mirrors, call it what you will, but I think Nokia have done a decent job with getting the hype up over this, now they could reveal something spectacular that will shock us all.
Nothing like getting the kids ready for a trip to the zoo and then in the car telling them we're actually going to Disney World!
Ilmata seems to refer to an internal Name for a project based on real MeeGo not a device, maybe there MeeGo UI as its was stated as different to harmattan and stands with MeeGo quite a few times i found it.

Ilmatar is a wind, and back in the 2009 was being talked about as coming after Harmattan.
Up until February 11th, I would have expected Harmattan to be the transitional Maemo/MeeGo OS (deb-based, but MeeGo API) with Ilmatar the OS project to bring Nokia's UX polish to a pure MeeGo core.
The OBS references above strengthen that theory. What the state of ilmatar is now, I've no idea.
