i have tested the position at my n900 (mirror app and holding the phone in my hands upside down) and its (one of) the worst position for video calls...

How is it any worse than top left corner (when in landscape)?
Lankku - N9, consumer device, black, pink, blue. Harmattan OS ('maemo 6', not real MeeGo).
Dali - 'N950', developer device, keyboard. Not for sale. Harmattan.
These two should be made public in a few hours.
Ilmatar - Nokia real MeeGo user interface made to look like Harmattan, apparently depends on how successful N9 gets.

video calls in landscape? seriously? i talk about portrait mode... and yes, its worse at the bottom.
you can test it by your own, how people would see you if its at the top or bottom end... the view angle for your partner watching you is different and not as good as with the cam at the top
In that case it must be a pretty big sticker. The picture is not usual aspect ration, suggesting it was cropped.
And the black area continues to the left.
Besides I would put the barcode near the bottom position rotated by 90 degrees.
I think there is something else there.
No, there is nothing else there, trust me! It's just a lof print text about it being a prototype, some code name/numbering etc. Actually, there is no barcode there, at least not on the proto I've seen (there is on another location).

@K123: the pic from engadget with the cam at the back... was your device the same!? i am wondering about the area around the cam, your device was silver, was it?
