And it's not only the UK market, Apple pretty much has that pricing policy everywhere outside the US (Correct me guys if I'm wrong).
That is why I don't understand the (speculated) price of the N9. It's like Nokia is trying to force customers to choose between a (absurdly) overpriced non-US iPhone 4, or the latest (absurdly) overpriced last-release iPhonesque N9.
But hey, for 250 euros I'd buy it in a second.
I agree - Look at the Playstation Vita - it's more than next-gen phone tech, including 3g Radio, for 250 Euros. I know they are selling it at a loss (last i read, estimated between 25/50 euros a unit)
they could easily sell that for 400 euros if it was a phone.
what is it, quad core CPU & quad core GPU (not a hardware fanatic, but these price points seem mentally unbalanced to me)
So Nokia has let most of the Maemo fans down with this consumer phone w/o HDMI, Resistive screen, adobe flash support, hardware keyboard, FM, IR, external battery and so on...
Luckily at least the software can be customised.
What about "fixing" the virtual keyboard application to show transparent overlay with colours and opacity that can be (auto) adjusted for the nerd apps like terminal and VI?
I wish the keyboard could be overlay while the other part of the screen that displays the nerd-app is still scrollable.
