Hi, I am using Xournal and I really like it. However, everytime when I try to exit the program, there will be message saying 'error saving file autosave' even I have just saved the file manually or not. Is there any cure for this issue.
Ran into this today. This is a directory permissions issue. You can fix it via xterm. Launch xterm, then:
voip_wire
Thanks for your help but this problem persist. When I enter the above code through xterm and keyed in
chown -R user.users /home/user/.xournal
it returned the following:
chown: /home/user/.xournal/config: Operation not permitted
chown: /home/user/.xournal: Operation not permitted
chown: /home/user/.xournal: Operation not permitted
Is there any way to solve the problem? Thanks again.
chown: /home/user/.xournal/config: Operation not permitted
chown: /home/user/.xournal: Operation not permitted
chown: /home/user/.xournal: Operation not permitted
Just double checking, did you miss the gainroot part?
Reinstalled Xournal with the latest version - 0.4.5fremantle16. Still having the same problem.
"Error saving file'.autosave'" and application exists when clicking open, save as, or export, etc.
The fix in 0.4.5fremantle17, you should see that. Try again.
Updated again. It picked up 0.4.5fremantle17 correctly this time. The autosave error is gone. And I do see a .autosave file under /home/user/.xournal directory.
However, I am still experiencing the other problems. Can't do any explorer related job within xournal. such as Open, Save as, export. Xournal simply quits when I hit those menu items. Any suggestions? Thanks Anidel!
