Beside tons of other really handy tools and apps there are some that I always immediatly install after a upgrade:

openvpn
cifs

How else could I access my fileserver at home hosting my mp3 collection from wherever I go (umts coverage provided).

Btw. concerning the memory consumption issues, I found it quite usefull to have an internal 8GB SDcard (works since latest OS update) with an ext2 filesystem - I just wonder if it could cause problems to move some (not too important) system dirs to the card and then link them back into the system. /usr/share would be one that I could think of.

Not a good idea... If your card craps out say by to your image.

Hi greygoo,

Newb here wondering about your comment:

"openvpn, cifs - How else could I access my fileserver at home hosting my mp3 collection from wherever I go (umts coverage provided)."

Do you think this is something a newb could handle doing? I haven't come across these installs in the forum yet but it sure would be nice to acess my 5,000+ itunes library from anywhere!

thanks, lg

Jelly-O,

I installed Scumm but couldn't find Monkey Island game anywhere-could you point me in right direction?

Also, I noticed someone previously posted request for link to rdiff-backup library "librarysync1" but didn't see any replies, has anyone found it because I am getting same error when I try to install rdiff backup. THANKS!
