Since all three operating systems are very different, it doesn't make sense to have identical hardware.

Harmattan is very much OMAP3, Windows Phone Snapdragon and Symbian is stuck with ARM11 chips.
ARM11 chips are the least expensive, followed by snapdragon and OMAP3. Dual Core chips are a lot more expensive, and are mostly advantages for multitasking, so that may be more of a tablet/pad kind of chip.

Yeah, WP7 needs Snapdragon, so it just have the N9 case, it will be a different beast inside.

And like I said in another thread:

Elop is a dick. He couldn't stand people praising MeeGo over WP7, what would make his strategy sink, so less than 2 days after the N9 was announced, he's trying to kill it saying that this is the last MeeGo device and showing off an unfinished WP7 device to generate buzz.

nokia also release it in small countrys, (with few exceptions). that will also limit the sales of the meego device over windows 7.

Buying it is not a problem. I can almost always buy from Asian resellers here. The loss of warranty is a problem. If you live in Canada and buy phone from USA, you then must have a US address to get it fixed/replaced.

I don't understand how Nokia thinks that by losing part of its core 'fan' base (us) it can sell more devices. I have owned Nokia only devices for the past 11 years because no other alternative existed for me. All of a sudden, in a matter of a week actually, I feel zero loyalty towards Nokia. Proving the theory that true enthusiasts of high end technology do not follow brands but actual technological advancements. Once Nokia, it's no longer clear who takes that throne. Come on LG - give us a full throttle Meego device!

I physically cringed when i saw WP on the N9. Yuck.

So Brazil will get WP7, possibly? it doesn't make any sense. We never were treated as a high-end consumer market. We always get the dumbphones, and the smartphones with a hell of a delay.

It's one of the biggest Nokia markets for sure, but WP7 have no presence here. And we have a gigantic open source community here.

there never going to be N9 with two different version, Meego & WP7...one must be sacrifice to make sure the other survive...in this case Elop will kill Meego on N9...like it or not the only way Meego will rise is if we kill Elop before he kill Meego...
