Only thing I can think of is that the permissions aren't set correctly, probably because you are using filebox to replace the files extracted on the PC (sorry, your post wasn't actually specific enough in this regard to provide some real trouble shooting; details matter!!! ) rather than copy the archive to the N900 and then using the xterm to extract on the N900 as per instructions . Will look into this a bit further. I do all the development on the N900, so any permission issues associated with doing things on the PC and using filebox I am clueless about.

PS: I am also using Power Kernel 46, so you should be good to go.

i cant seem to get into the menu option upon booting

i get 'cant flash kernel, required files not found'

i followed the guide fine so what possibly could i be missing?

Really sounds to me like you have a problem with your multi-boot setup, not fAircrack. You need to have a look at one of the multi-boot threads and discussions to get help. Search box on the top right should drag up hours of reading .

Ok, i will extract the files with 7zip (x-terminal) and will move them via x-terminal.

I did it and i still have the same problem (i used the command cp as root).

Last time i used the command 7z to extract the files too.

When i have that problem, some desktop icons don't work until i close the app.

Now I am going to use the command chmod -R 777 to set the permissions.

Edit: chmod didn't work, i still have the same problem

Setting the permissions won't work, because you are on the FAT partition. You should be ok simply copying the archive from my post to the FAS directory (either from PC or direct download on the N900). Then extract the files using tar on xterm. I recommend you completely wipe the FAS directory first though and start fresh with fAircrack 0.3 (first post) and then put my update on that.

PS: I also suggest you start reading up loads more on this forum and get some more experience messing with your device.

I deleted the FAS directory and installed again faircrack 0.3 using the command tar. Then i updated it using again the command tar. But i still have the same problem
