quick question. what is the purpose of the tactile patch? the package note says, " tactile provides improved tactile feedback with different patterns to improve the user experience on the N900", but what exactly does that mean?
edit: never mind. i went ahead and installed it anyways. the package description pretty much sums it up. not being one who finds tactile feedback to be particularity useful, i think i will uninstall it to save on battery life. eh...different strokes for different folks.
thanks for the update, everything seems to be working as expected.

Don't download the .deb, use a package manager like FAM or the built in one.
If you don't know enough to post proper information about what you did and what went wrong, try doing it the easy way.

I actually tried HAM first, but it wasn't listed, even though I have the proper repos activated. I used apt-get and it seemed to work. I'm not an Xterminal expert, so just wanted to be sure it was the proper way to do it.

Can someone point me to documentation for the features of the edit modes for Menu and Desktop in CSSU GUI? I know this isn't the GUI page, but it is the CSSU thread. Not clear what the mode does. Wiki didn't shed much light.
