And how did you get by having to pay UPS a ridiculous brokerage fee / duty?

I got it from J&R (very dependable merchant), jr.com , listed for $479, but they will sell for less (I ordered by phone). shipping to Canada is $19.95 UPS express (you'll get it in 2 days). You'll have to pay GST & PST when you receive it, about $64 cdn.

It is a great tool but I don't like the GPS, it is not a REAL GPS - it will only show your current location, but it will not tell you how to get to your destination. So if you are lost or take a wrong turn...n810 will only show your current location - which is useless. If you want directions, you'll have pay $130/ 36 months...sorry...i should have purchased a simple GPS.

Also, if you want to change the default home city to Toronto, you can't. Toronto is not listed, you'll have to settle for Ottawa.

Has anyone who ordered an n810 from NCIX received theirs yet? I'm just curious. I had chatted with a fellow at the Burnaby store and he related that the units are a particularly troublesome special order and while it /may/ come in within the 2 weeks, that it's quite possible that it can take more.

Incidentally, for those of you in Vancouver, there's a company called the letter carrier in Point Roberts that you can have stuff mailed to. See here:

    http://thelettercarrier.com/

While I personally haven't used that service, my boss has this past week used this service for some orders from newegg. It's super close to the border at Point Roberts and after looking, it even seem reachable by bus. (Go to 1st ave and cross the border, 2 blocks and you're there) Site doesn't seem to mention it, but apparently you don't need to register with them before you get the package sent to them either. Just give the ordering company the address. They're doing booming business and it seems that they'd like you to wait at least a day after your package arrives for you show up to claim your package.

I may cancel the order and oder from the US if it does not ship this week.

    I cancelled my NCIX order.

Ordered the N810 from the Nokia Canada Store:

    $485.00 plus tax

    They use UPS for shipping.

    N810 arrives tomorrow
