Playing my typical devil's advocate here... but better multi-tasking is useless if the apps are all unfinished or unsupported.
plenty of apps and on the N900 ... not as much but what are you in need of thats not supplied? and if you do need it you can progam it on your device just like that. all qt apps work out the gate ... open source you can change what you want yourslf. if you want to be coddled goto apple, no need to worry about applications functioning properly ...

Nice deflection, but I'm not falling for it especially since it does not answer the question. If it's so easy, then why did it take so long (thanks to mece) for a proper and updated Twitter app?
It's not about being coddled, it's about having something useful to multitask with other than microB, terminal and phone and Collabra chats... and that horrific e-mail client. Not exactly mind blowing.
I did read what you wrote but being a N900 owner I know only too well that the anticpated 2 years support for the OS counts for nothing if Nokia decides to move on to another OS.
This time it seems Nokia, well Elop, is being quite open with the fact that nokia will not be supporting meego in the long term. I the had been produced by Samsung or Apple I wouldn't of hesitated in buying it however I certainly will not be parting with £500/$600 of my hard earned money for a phone which may not be supported, OS wise, by Nokia in 6 months time.
LMAO so you trust Elop more than others. Why do you think CEO is sayin that and was this just missinformation?
But even if soo Elop is just pissed cause if N9 success he may get fired. so ofcourse he "may" doing everything to hurt N9 cause then it show he was wrong about Meego.
Again N9 will be supported longer than n900 marketging will be harder than n900 is my guess. Several people from Nokia in northeuropean is saying it will have longer support.
And WP7 is rumored to not come to scandinavia until next year.
Everything except all user aspects. N9 have Better video, better foto, better UI, better multitasking, better sound, better reception etc etc - and - N9 is much much cooler.
Better external hardware too. It's not just about looks and build quality, but becomes clearer when you hold it. Screen size is a matter of preference, not quality, and the N9 is a great size for one handed use with a huge screen relatively. Ergonomics are really awesome, and of course work in concert with swipe.
