I brought nokia n900 last week...
since then i am trying to connect it with my wifi modem (secured)...
from wich wifi is connecting to my laptop..

whereas when i try to connect my nokia n900 by giving the wep key,..
while giving any web address or trying to sign in any voip apps...
    it is showing
:INTERNET CONNECTION FAILED, UNABLE TO RETRIEVE IP ADDRESS FROM THE SERVR"

(but it seems it is accepting the wep key and the connection symbol in the top of the screen is present)

please find some solution for this...
i am so sad as i am unable to use internet over my new nokia n900
    regards
    robs

If the access point isn't providing an IP address, it suggests to me that it's not running DHCP, in which case you'll need to either configure a suitable IP address into the connection on your N900 or reconfigure the access point to run DHCP.

Personally I prefer not to run DHCP and to allocate fixed IP addresses to all of my computers, so that I always know where they are.

Why don't you try changing the WEP key to WPA key at your router and then try connecting it with N900??
