The folder was containing both texture10 and 11.bar and the game would not start again. So I removed the texture11.bar and left the texture10.bar and the game started FINALLY.
I don't know how to make files read only for the settlers but I don't need it. The game runs perfectly now. With hawx I had the same problem as with the settlers: It starts but all I get is a black screen for a second and then the game crashes. Did you meant the wiki link you gave me? That method didn't work for me but I installed it with chmod +rwx just like the rest of the games which are working. I saw that hawx doesn't have texture files. Does it need a special library perhaps?
Well, I mean from the X-Terminal. Run it from the X-Term and describe what it says.

Thnx man that did the trick. Although I had some problems at the beginning (probably due to misstyiping) I finally made it work. Do you know if someone is making an sh mode for Hawx? Thnx one more time.
