there is two different times in the wiki (http://wiki.maemo.org/MeeGo_Coding_C...ition_Timeline) the last day is 31.7 but in the announcement in this thread the date is 30.6. I guess the deadline for submissions is really today?

No, it's in a month, it's extended. Sorry if that wasn't clear!

Wow, did not know that one ..that is a true geek gadget ..and excellent method for transferring data ;D ..all I remembered from the childhood was the barcode battler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcode_Battler) ..so someone needs to implement that one

Just a quick question about the submission process that I couldn't find an answer to.

I noticed no one (besides me) is uploading any package or source to the submission site. How are Meego users expected to try the applications? Do they have to download the source from our Maemo repository and then make it?

It is not clear to me how many applications are actually for MeeGo.
Mine is currently for Maemo5 only... but I am doing some experiment with the Harmattan SDK.

And I update my progresses regularly on the competition page, for whatever is worth.

I have uploaded an rpm for i586, and given links/instructions for maemo5 and meego-ce.

Speaking of which, zehjotkah, did you try the rpm?

looks like (unsuprisingly given the quality of other projects and rawness of mine) neither an inner-spin or a Take it away Marco port was of interest to the MeeGo community, (please don't think I am complaining I wouldn't have bumped any of the recipients either).

Inner_spin I can probably port (if I do at all) without the actual device (though it's easier to wait for the SDL to be present)... the TIAM sound engine is less likely for be clear as to whether it's working (or not)... If I could produce a little test app, would anyone with device be willing to confirm functionality?
