Today i receive an IM form servicebuddy@ovi.com (or something like that) with the message, that on August 1st the service is out, and if you want more information go to a website of nokia.
I did, and in the website say, that the service won't be available to my phone (N900).

So is no more ovi chat for N900 on August 1st?
Anyone receive this message?
Grettings.
Even i received as well.
The chat feature of this application will be discontinued on August 1 2011. To chat with Ovi friends after this date you must begin using a new application. Open this link to learn how http://nokia.mobi/chatupdate
Ain't that some ridiculous bullcrap??!! It's as though i don't own a Nokia phone. All the more reason for me to back liveprofile and the cssu, seems like they are the only people developing for the n900. I've owned Nokia phones for the most part of my adult life but at this rate my next may well something that uses android. So pissed....
hmm... i get a feeling that elop actually watches this thread. nokia's dropping so many bombs on the N900/maemo community! directing their maemo site to "swipe" and now ovi chat? (though i'm not really a user. hehe)
i wonder why he hates us so much... could it be the caption contest in a past thread? the poll on whether we should hire a gunman or build enough cash to be the majority shareholder so we can do some ***-kicking?
PS: made from pure assumption (obviously)
edit: funny, TMO has an automatic censorship system (what is that called?).
I keep getting this notification every 30 minutes, what the hell is going on? From around 3PM to like 2AM every 30 minutes and sometimes an hour in between. Can the folks at Nokia stop spamming me? I get it, the service is done, but why in hell send us a link to nowhere. I spent 5 minutes looking for an update only to get the clue it is non-existent.
