Ah, was that the Handset UX, so does the keyboard not work on either handset or tablet UX? If the MeeGo work is being done with the n950 in mind, I suppose getting the keyboard working isn't a priority? Pity - n900 has a keyboard. Does that mean the choice will be Maemo (5/6-ish) or Maemo CSSU, with keyboard, or MeeGo handset or tablet UX without keyboard. We'll be spoiled for choice...

Keyboard works somewhat in the new MeeGo ux, mind you that the version Sage made available has nothing handset specific done for it, it's just a MeeGo image using the ux previously known as "tablet ux", not modified in any way. Accelerometer is not calibrated so it rotates the wrong way, the fn (blue arrow) and ctrl keys don't work, the onscreen keyboard doesn't fit the screen etc etc. But work is being done with this ux. MeeGo N900 Developer Edition will be the thing to look forward to.
This ux (or this thread) has nothing to do with "N950".
EDIT: Some call the ux "Unified MeeGo UX" but actually it's just "MeeGo UX", since that's what it is called on gitorious.
Keyboard works for me, the vkb mostly works too. Why do you not think it works? For those trying to flash the .ks file to their devices. The .ks file is a kickstart file used by meego-image-creator to create the .raw image files. Just ignore it. You only need the .raw file if you've got uboot installed and if you don't have a uboot kernel, the you'll need to use the flasher tool and download the vmlinuz kernel image file.

On the videos people seem to avoid using the kb, so I wondered if it didn't work or something.
could someone please make a complete guide on how to install this? and dual boot with maemo of course. i havent done anything like this before with the n900 and i have no idea how to do it. i dont want to experiment because then i might have to flash maemo again. thanks in advance

If you don't want to experiment and are not willing to reflash if it goes wrong then im afraid this is not for you yet.
well im not saying that if anything goes wrong it would be the end of the world, but it would be much easier to follow a guide from someone who knows and took 10 minutes to write it, than to begin from knowing nothing and taking a lot of time to find out what to, wouldnt you say?
